৮৮৩ মোবাইলসহ ১০ চোরাকারবারি গ্রেফতার

নারায়ণগঞ্জের সোনারগাঁও উপজেলায় র‍্যাব-১০ একটি দল অভিযান চালিয়ে ৮৮৩টি মোবাইল সেটসহ ১০ চোরাকারবারিকে গ্রেফতার করেছে।

রোববার (২৪ জানুয়ারি) সকালে উপজেলার কাঁচপুর রূপালী মার্কেটে অভিযান চালিয়ে তাদের গ্রেফতার করা হয়।

গ্রেফতারকৃতদের বিরুদ্ধে র‍্যাবের ১০ এর নৌবাহিনীর এনএস মো. মোমেন খাঁন মামলা দায়েরের পর দুপুরে তাদেরকে সোনারগাঁও থানায় হস্তান্তর করেছে।

গ্রেফতারকৃতরা হলো- মো. সাহাজুল ইসলাম ওরফে সাজু, কবির হোসেন, রোমান মোল্লা, মো. রাসেল গাজী ওরফে মিঠু, হাবিবুর রহমান, মো. রাজু আহম্মেদ, নবীর হোসেন, মো. শাহীন, মো. জয়নাল আবেদীন ও মো. হাবিবউল্লাহ ওরফে সোহাগ।

র‍্যাব সূত্রে জানা যায়, দীর্ঘদিন ধরে কাঁচপুর রূপালি মার্কেট এলাকায় বিভিন্ন ব্র্যান্ডের চোরাই মোবাইল কেনাবেচা করে আসছিল এই দল। গোপন সংবাদের ভিত্তিতে রোববার সকালে র‍্যাব-১০ এর একটি দল অভিযান চালিয়ে কয়েকটি দোকান থেকে ৮৮৩টি মোবাইলসেটসহ ১০ জনকে গ্রেফতার করা হয়।

সোনারগাঁও থানার ভারপ্রাপ্ত কর্মকর্তা (ওসি) মো. রফিকুল ইসলাম বলেন, র‍্যাব হস্তান্তরের পর গ্রেফতারকৃতদের নারায়ণগঞ্জ আদালতে পাঠানো হয়েছে।
