১৪ দিনের কোয়ারেন্টাইন পর্ব শেষ হলো আজ। এর মধ্যে চারবার করোনা টেস্ট করা হলো। সর্বশেষ টেস্টেও বাংলাদেশ দলের সবারই ফলাফল এসেছে নেগেটিভ। আজই নিউজিল্যান্ড সময় সন্ধ্যায় (এরই মধ্যে সেখানে রাত) ক্রাইস্টচার্চ ছেড়ে কুইন্সটাউনে পৌঁছে গেছেন বাংলাদেশ দলের ক্রিকেটাররা।

গত ২৩ ফেব্রুয়ারি বিকাল ৪টায় বাংলাদেশ থেকে নিউজিল্যান্ডের উদ্দেশ্যে রওয়ানা হয় বাংলাদেশ ক্রিকেট দল। ২৪ ফেব্রুয়ারি সকালে সেখানে পৌঁছানোর পর তাদেরকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হয় ক্রাইস্টচার্চে। সেখানেই হোটেলবন্দী ১৪টি দিন কাটিয়ে দিয়েছে বাংলাদেশ দল।

এরপর আজই প্রথম পুরো একসঙ্গে হতে পেরেছে, একসঙ্গে ঘুরে-বেড়ানোর অনুমতি পেয়েছে। যদিও এর মধ্যে বেশ কিছুদিন ৫জন দিয়ে গ্রুপ তৈরি করে জিম এবং কিছু হালকা অনুশীলন চালিয়ে যেতে পেরেছে টাইগার ক্রিকেটাররা।

তবে আজই প্রথম তারা পুরো দল একসঙ্গে হওয়ার সুযোগ পেয়েছে। ক্রাইস্টচার্চ থেকে জাগোনিউজকে বিসিবির মিডিয়া ম্যানেজার রাবিদ ইমাম জানিয়েছেন, ‘আজ স্থানীয় সময় বিকাল ৩টায় (বাংলাদেশ সময় সকাল ৮টা) হোটেল থেকে চেকআউট করে বাংলাদেশ দলের ক্রিকেটাররা। এরপর অন্য একটি হোটেলে সবাই যারযার মালপত্র রেখে বেরিয়ে যায় ঘোরাঘুরি করতে। প্রায় তিন ঘণ্টা ক্রিকেটাররা ইচ্ছামত ঘুরে-বেড়িয়েছে। কেউ দল বেধে, কেউ একা একা ঘুরেছে ক্রাইস্টচার্চে। মোটকথা, এই প্রথম তারা একসঙ্গে বাইরে বের হতে পেরেছে। এরপর ছিল কুইন্সটাউনের উদ্দেশ্যে সাড়ে ৭টার ফ্লাইট।

ঘোরাঘুরি শেষ হওয়ার পরই বাংলাদেশ দল পৌঁছে যায় ক্রাইস্টচার্চ এয়ারপোর্টে। সেখান থেকে ৪০-৫০ মিনিটের ফ্লাইট কুইন্সটাউন পৌঁছাতে। যেখানে বাংলাদেশ দল একসঙ্গে অনুশীলন করবে আগামী ৫দিন।২০ মার্চ থেকে শুরু হবে বাংলাদেশ-নিউজিল্যান্ডের ওয়ানডে সিরিজ।
