নারায়ণগঞ্জ সিটি কর্পোরেশনের নির্বাচনের কাউন্ট ডাউন শুরু হয়ে গেছে । এক বছরেরও কম সময় রয়েছে । এই নির্বাচনের । ইতিমধ্যে সিটি কর্পোরেশনের বর্তমান মেয়র ডা. সেলিনা হায়াত আইভী ও তার স্বজনদের বিরুদ্ধে হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়ের দেবােত্তর সম্পত্তি দখলের অভিযােগ তুলে আন্দোলন করছেন হিন্দু সম্প্রদায়।

এসব আন্দোলনে তা দিচ্ছেন আইভী বিরােধী হিসেবে পরিচিত নারায়ণগঞ্জের প্রভাবশালী এমপি একেএম শামীম ওসমানের অনুগামী আওয়ামীলীগের নেতাকর্মীরা। হিন্দু সম্পদ্রায়ের এই আন্দোলনে বক্তব্য দিয়ে রাজনীতি গরম করছেন আইভী বিরােধী আওয়ামীলীগ নেতারাই।

এটাকে আইভী অনুগামীরা দাবি করছেন সামনে নির্বাচন। মুলত নির্বাচনকে সামনে রেখেই আইভীকে ঠেকাতে এই আন্দোলন।

মুলত রাজনৈতিক প্রতিযােগীতায় এমন রাজনীতি হওয়াটাই স্বাভাবিক । কিন্তু আওয়ামীলীগের তৃণমূল নেতাকর্মীদের মাঝে প্রশ্ন ওঠেছে , মেয়র আইভীর সঙ্গে নৌকা প্রতীকের লড়াইয়ে এবার কে থাকছেন?

গত নির্বাচনে এমপি শামীম ওসমান ও তার অনুগামীরা নেমেছিলেন জেলা পরিষদের বর্তমান চেয়ারম্যান আনােয়ার হােসেনকে নিয়ে। ওই নির্বাচনের আগে মহানগর আওয়ামীলীগ থেকে আনােয়ার হােসেনের নাম কেন্দ্রে মেয়র পদে পাঠানাে হলেও তাকে মনােনয়ন দেয়া হয়নি। নৌকা প্রতীকে মনােনয়ন পান মেয়র আইভী।

এই শােকে কাতর আনােয়ার হােসেন শারীরিকভাবে অসুস্থ হয়ে পড়লে হাসপাতাল থেকে খবর পান জেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান পদে আনােয়ার হােসেনকেই মনােনিত করা হতে যাচ্ছে।

নেতাকর্মীরা জানান, আনােয়ার হােসেন জেলা পরিষদের চেয়ারম্যান হওয়ার পর শামীম ওসমানকে পল্টি দিয়েছেন। যদিও সিটি নির্বাচনের আগে সিলেট মাজার জিয়ারত করে আনােয়ার হােসেন প্রতিজ্ঞা করেছিলেন যে ওসমান পরিবারের পাশেই তিনি থাকবেন।

মেয়র আইভীর বিরুদ্ধে যখন আন্দোলন চলছে তখন সামনের নির্বাচনে নৌকা প্রতীকে দক্ষিন পন্থী আওয়ালীগ নেতাদের মধ্যে কে হতে যাচ্ছেন সেই প্রতিযােগী ? কিন্তু মেয়র আইভীকে বাদ দিয়ে কার হাতে নৌকা প্রতীক তুলে দিবেন দলটির সভাপতি ও প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা । এমন প্রশ্নে ঘুরপাক খাচ্ছেন নেতাকর্মীরা । যদিও ইতিমধ্যে নেতাকর্মীদের মাঝে ও স্থানীয় কিছু মিডিয়াতে মেয়র পদে আলােচনায় আওয়ামীলীগের বেশকয়েজন নেতার নাম ওঠেছে।

এই নামে প্রথম আলােচনায় জেলা মহিলা সংস্থার চেয়ারম্যান সালমা ওসমান লিপি। করােনাকালে মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে তিনি বেশ আলােচিত একজন নারী হিসেবে পরিচিত। তিনি নারায়ণগঞ্জের প্রভাবশালী প্রতাপশালী এমপি একেএম শামীম ওসমানের সহধর্মিনী।

এ ছাড়াও নারায়ণগঞ্জ মহানগর আওয়ামীলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অ্যাডভােকেট খােকন সাহার কঠোর বক্তব্যের কারনে অনেকেই ধারণা করছেন তিনি হয়তাে মেয়র নির্বাচন করতে যাচ্ছেন।

এ বিষয়ে কিছু মিডিয়াতে প্রকাশিত হয়েছে তিনি মেয়র নির্বাচনে নৌকা প্রতীকে চাইতে পারেন। শেষতক তিনি নৌকা না পেলে হয়তাে আনােয়ার হােসেনের মতই আনােয়ার হােসেনের স্থলে আসতে পারেন খােকন সাহা।

তবে মেয়র আইভীর বিরুদ্ধে ঝাঝালাে দিচ্ছেন জেলা আওয়ামীলীগের সাধারণ সম্পাদক অ্যাডভােকেট আবু হাসনাত মােহাম্মদ শহীদ বাদলও। কেউ কেউ বলছেন তিনিও নৌকা প্রতীকের জন্য লড়াইয়ে নামলে অবাক হওয়ার কিছু থাকবে না। ওসমান পরিবারের সঙ্গে পূর্বের দূরত্ব কমিয়ে শহীদ বাদল ওসমান পরিবারের হয়েই রাজনীতি করছেন।

অন্যদিকে উত্তর দক্ষিন মেরুর রাজনীতির বাহিরে গিয়ে রাজনীতি করছেন মহানগর আওয়ামীলীগের সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক ও বাংলাদেশ ছাত্রলীগের কেন্দ্রীয় কমিটির সাবেক সাংগঠনিক সম্পাদক জিএম আরাফাত তিনি নতুন বছরে প্রায় প্রতিদিন মহানগরীর বিভিন্ন এলাকায় কম্বল বিতরণ কর্মসূচি ছাড়াও নানা কর্মসূচিতে সক্রিয় অংশগ্রহণ করছেন । কেউ কেউ জানিয়েছেন তিনি মেয়র নির্বাচনকে টার্গেট করেই মাঠে নেমেছেন।

কিন্তু ওসমান পরিবারের সমর্থনে কে মাঠে আসছেন নৌকা প্রতীকের লড়াইয়ে তা দেখার অপেক্ষায় নেতাকর্মীরা । নাকি আবারাে নৌকা ওঠতে যাচ্ছে আইভীর হাতে ?
