হেফাজতে ইসলামের কেন্দ্রীয় যুগ্ম মহাসচিব মামুনুল হককে গত শনিবার অবরুদ্ধ করার জের ধরে হামলা, ভাংচুর ঘটনায় হেফাজতের নেতাকর্মীদের আসামী করে আরো ৩টি মামলা দায়ের হয়েছে। এ নিয়ে ছয় মামলায় আসামী করা হয়েছে প্রায় ৫০০ জনের নামে ও সাত-আটশত অজ্ঞাত প্রায়৷। এ ঘটনায় সোনারগাঁজুড়ে গ্রেফতার আতঙ্ক ছড়িয়ে পরেছে জনমনে।

সোনারগাঁ থানার ওসি হাফিজুর রহমান ৬টি মামলার কথা নিশ্চিত করে বলেন, এ ঘটনায় আরো একটি মামলা হবে ও এ পর্যন্ত ১৪ জন গ্রেফতার হয়েছে।

সোনারগাঁ উপজেলা যুবলীগের সভাপতি রফিকুল ইসলাম নান্নু বাদি হয়ে ১টি, নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলা ছাত্রলীগের সাবেক সহ-সভাপতি সোহাগ রনির বাবা হাজী শাহ জামাল তোতা বাদি হয়ে ১টি ও যুবলীগের প্রচার সম্পাদক নাছির উদ্দিন বাদি হয়ে ১টি মামলা দায়ের করেন।

এর আগে দুই এসআই বাদী হয়ে দুটি ও আহত সংবাদ ১টি মামলা দায়ের করেন।

এ ঘটনায় সোনারগাঁজুড়ে গ্রেফতার আতঙ্কে অনেকেই ঘরছাড়া বলে জানাযায়।
